I’m often asked, “How do you do all of this? You’re everywhere, consistent online, never late to rehearsals, and somehow still getting 8-10 hours of sleep a night??”

So I wanted to share the tools and coaches that have gotten me to where I am today.

Amira at A Self Guru provides legal templates for anyone running an online business--even just a website.

In case you’re like I was, and legal stuff has you confused or worried, Amira’s got you covered. The link I’ve shared here goes to her entire legal store.

The store is segmented into industry-specific packages and bundles based on what your business does.

The VIP bundle, which is what I got, includes templates for AI use, hiring independent contractors like actors, LLC formation template... so much good stuff.

The thing I like about A Self Guru is Amira sends updates every time the law changes, without charging you again. She even gave me the ADA compliance bundle for free because I took action while on a call with her!

And her instructions are super easy to follow; I literally got all three of the starter policies done in 10-15 minutes.

Her Facebook group is super responsive; I had an answer directly from her on my first question within minutes.

I genuinely feel so much lighter knowing I have text that actually protects my business, with contracts already set to help me grow.

I absolutely loved working with Caleb. Hands down the best acting coach I’ve ever worked with.

He asks really good questions and will call you on your BS if you’re not being honest.

I happened to take his MiniMFA while I was in Romeo & Juliet and Gender Play, and I could see my process improving in real time.

He was so kind in working with me to figure out how I approach characters as a trans aroace person. He always said to hold a boundary if he ever asked a question that was too invasive (I never had an issue with anything he asked).

Caleb genuinely cares about you, not just as an actor, not just as a multihyphenate (he gave me some fantastic advice on producing that I literally printed onto my wall), but as a whole person.

One of my favorite parts of the Mini MFA was the time he took to help me establish daily and weekly habits that ensure I’m taking care of my whole self. Habits that support my health and make me feel like an actor even when I’m not acting.

I can’t recommend Caleb enough. https://www.thecalebclark.com/coaching

I jump at every chance I get to be on a call with Izzy.

I was a part of her Freedom Creator group coaching program for a year, which literally changed everything.

I went from being an actor who had a vague idea that I had more to give, to realizing I have a producer’s heart, starting a theatre company, and paying every artist $20/hour on every mainstage production I’ve produced with Blanket Fort Theatre to date (December 2025).

She’s the reason I started Blanket Fort and Roguish Goblin Stories. I literally would not have a regular income from my own business without her.

We worked on mindset, identity shifts, business strategy, marketing that doesn’t feel icky, messaging that’s aligned and simple: her social media strategies are the backbone of everything I post.

She’s dedicated to helping creatives who have a creative career (acting, directing, tech, writing, you name it) AND want/have a business that supports them time- and money-wise.

Izzy genuinely cares about you as a person. I’ve cried more than once on a call with her where I’d gotten so in my head with anxiety, and she makes space for all the emotions.

She listens so well, reflects back the subconscious limiting beliefs you don’t even realize you have, and walks with you step by step through them and out the other side.

I highly recommend the community Izzy’s built inside Freedom Creator.

Chillsubs is the reason I got published so often so quickly. And paid for my work.

They have a database of literary magazines, contests and presses that you can filter to your heart’s content.

They have logistical filters, like medium, genre, do they pay, how much, response time, rejection rate, deadlines.

They also have vibes- and value-based filters like “Actually Inclusive,” “Damn Good Editors,” “Beautiful Design,” “New Writer Friendly,” and “Hidden Gems.”

I also love their email newsletters. They do Q&As with agents, publishers, MFAs; all kinds of behind-the-scenes insights into the literary industry.

You can track your submissions right on their site, which helps you stay organized and contributes to their rejection rate statistics for everyone.

So glad that Chillsubs exists.
