At Roguish Goblin Stories, we’re building the theatre company to make it happen.
Our founder, Beks Roen, grew up in mostly rural Indiana, and they’ve done theatre on both coasts and big cities, but our stories—rural, queer, Hoosier—kept getting flown over. We want our stories on stage, screen and page, with our artists salaried.
So, Roen came back home to Indiana and started a new kind of theatre that’s joining queer, classical and new fantasy stories with Hoosier Hospitality to make theatre that’s free to attend and pays artists well.

I am so excited to be bringing you this podcast. So many of you have been asking for a memoir of not just me, but my parents, because of the…let’s say adventurous stories we’ve lived through.
We want to share what we’ve learned, how we celebrate in the midst of everything going wrong, why our first dog was terrified of the toaster: the funny, the heartbreaking, and everything in between.
All to remind you that you are valuable even when you’re just living, and the world is better with you in it.
So be prepared for lots of energy, my dad and me getting sidetracked while my mom just shakes her head, and the lessons we’ve learned that help make our lives better.
